Spring training for Major League Baseball is in full swing, and what would the promise of a new season be without the question of who's still trying to beat the system with steroids? Well, my talented friend Andy Harris came up with a funny commercial parody of the Viagra "This is the age..." ads we see so frequently. I recorded the announcer voice-over. Enjoy!

This morning, my voice impression skills were tested once again with Mark in the Morning on 100.3 The Sound in Los Angeles. I called up to perform Oscar "Loser" Speeches. In fact, most of these guys weren't even nominated, which makes them even bigger losers! I did 6 celebrity voice impressions, one after the other, live on the phone with Mark and his crew, and it was a workout! Great way to kickstart the work week. Take a listen below: Care for a peek behind the curtain? Here's how that same call went down from my home studio: Full disclosure here: I record voice-overs for friends too! My dear friends, Andy and Rhoda, have a show called "The Comedy Couple" that I do the voice imaging for on a regular basis. Seriously, Andy and Rhoda are a lot of fun to be around. We've had them over numerous times for dinner, and I kid you not, we are laughing most of the time. Have you ever been with people that you just mesh with and it's never hard to keep the conversation going? That's how it is with them. And when you listen to their podcast, you really feel like you're just hanging out with good friends. Give them some love by giving them a listen on iHeart Radio when you have a moment. And be honest, you were about to waste that moment watching another cat video or something. Oh, and listen for my voice sprinkled in there too! They made it past the 100 episodes mark, so they must be doing something right! It was the return of Mark and Brian--well, kind of. Mark Thompson of KLOS-FM "Mark and Brian" fame returned to the Los Angeles airwaves 2 weeks ago on 100.3 The Sound with his new show, "Mark in the Morning", and asked me to be a part of the broadcast live this past Friday. Just ahead of the Valentine's Day festivities, Mark thought it would be fun to have Brian Williams come on and share some of his horror stories about dating. Real tall tales mind you, but stories nonetheless. The day before, Mark asked if I could do a Brian Williams impression, and I said, "Uh...nope." But I told him if he gave me a little time with some Youtube videos, I may have a better answer for him. After some rehearsal, I performed my Brian Williams voice impression over the phone as an audition. He liked it and said "Great, talk to you tomorrow!" The rest is what you hear in the clip that follows. |
